Malta Farms was established in April 2001 as a faith based, long term, residential program for new believers exiting local correctional facilities, specifically Lubbock County Jail. Our commitent is to provide discipleship for these men so they can grow in thier understanding of God, and His desire to change thier lives, while also creating possitive relationships and creating good work ethic prior to reentering society. We are located on an 81 acre farm just outside of Slaton, Texas.
Throughout the West Texas area there are ministries that have been faithfully sharing the gospel to a people almost forgotten. When an incarcerated person responds to the gospel and seeks a place to mature his faith upon release, he is met with limited options. At best he receives the name of a local congregation and the address of the nearest support group. While these facets of ministry have proven to be vital, certian indivuals require more relational discipleship. Our program is 6 months in length.
